The Mondrian Inspired Glass

A lot of people don't realize that these colored blocks were supposed glass that often changed in levels of brightness, according to what time of day it was in Bradyland.

In these poor quality screencaps it isn't as pronounced, but it's quite clear in A Very Brady Christmas where Mike had gone ahead and replaced them with glass window blocks.

The HGTV Renovation cut these perfectly colored blocks and applied them to the area.

  1. I remember being shocked when A Very Brady Christmas came out, and I realized the colored panels were actually window panes. It made me love them all the more!

  2. It really bugs me that the new renovation used simple colored panels instead of backlit, colored, textured Plexiglas.

    1. HGTV cut a lot of corners on some details, yet were meticulously correct on others. My inside source tells me that HGTV went way over its projected budget about mid way through and had to cut back and/or cut out some elements altogether.
