Throne used in The Brady Bunch and by Michael Richards "Kramer" on Seinfeld. (ABC-TV, 1969-74/NBC-TV, 1989-98) This "Santa" throne was used in The Brady Bunch season 1, episode 12 "The Voice of Christmas" when Cindy Brady (Susan Olsen) visits the shopping mall Santa wishing for her mother, Carol (Florence Henderson), to get her voice back so she can sing the solo at the Christmas morning church service. The throne was later used by Michael Richards as "Kramer" in Seinfeld season 6, episode 10 "The Race" where he works as a department store Santa and is convinced to become a communist by Elaine's boyfriend. The stylized throne is constructed of wood and resin painted gold. The red vinyl seating area, arm and backrest cover the original red felt as seen in the Seinfeld episode which can be removed to expose the original upholstery. Measures 80 in. x 36 in. x 15 in. Exhibits expected wear and remains in very good condition. This piece is located in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and special shipping arrangements will apply.
Wow! This reminds me of another auction, around 15 years ago Robert Reed's daughter auctioned the gray wig & whiskers her dad wore in the episode where he played Grandpa "Judge" Brady, on EBay. I assumed it would sell for $2000 and didn't bother bidding. Big mistake, both pieces sold (with a letter of authenticity) for a couple hundred bucks.
