Just a shot in the dark: It looks like these photos were taken at the "Travel Town Museum" which is located in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. Being a rail buff (and a fan of the "Bunch") I spotted the old Pullman Union Pacific passenger car in the first pic and it looks very much like the one at Travel Town. Plus, in the early 70s there weren't too many "railroad preservation" type places around yet. This one opened in the early 50s.
