Before the Bradys became the sanitized, generic family we loved, it looks like the producers tried to have the set look like six kids really did live there. This attempt at reality didn't last long. The Bradys were almost cancelled after their first 13 episodes, and when they returned, the family room and the kids bedrooms were as squeaky clean as The Bradys themselves.
I wonder if the house would have been as iconic if it had been messy.

ReplyDeleteI always thought that the Family Room got bigger after Season 1. In Season 2 they get the felt-topped game table. It doesn't appear it would have fit in the room during Season 1.
