Bobby Sherman On The Partridge Family Driveway

Bobby Sherman in his short-lived sitcom, "Getting Together" filmed at The WB Ranch in 1971. 

It was a spin-off of The Partridge Family, and borrowed their driveway and garage door, as well at the exterior of the house used on Hazel, Gidget, The Partridge Family and The Monkees.

Gidget Set in Studio vs on Backlot

Sally Field and Don Porter stand at the the front door of the Gidget home set, inside a soundstage at Sunset/Gower in Hollywood.

Sally Field, also at the front door of the Gidget home set, but outdoors at The Warners Brothers Ranch backlot in Burbank. The sets were designed to look exactly alike, and they did a pretty good job, but the inside light is so flat. The outdoor sunlight, and real detail in the second photo make it look warmer and more realistic.

Cool Retro Building

This cool, breeze block building was used on Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, Dennis The Menace and Gidget. Judging by the Bewitched scene shown below, it looks like the building is right on the lot at Sunset Gowers Studios, where all four shows were shot.  

Recently I found this shot from The Monkees which shows, barely, that this is the Screen Gems building, right on the Sunset Gower lot.
