The Academy of Museum of Motion Pictures opened at the old May Company building on Wilshire and Fairfax in Los Angeles. It was built in 1940 in the Streamline Moderne style of the time. It's such an iconic storefront. It's interesting to see the angle in this stock shot used on The Brady Bunch episode, where they shoot it from the side and avoid the familiar storefront.
Robert Reed and E. G. Marshall played father and son lawyers for 4 years on "The Defenders". Their reunion here, I think, shows a friendship, or a fondness for each other. Either one of them could easily not agree to doing this brief scene together.
