Likely this horse statue on "Bewitched" is the same one used in "Bell, Book and Candle", both produced by Columbia. The base is white, while the Bradys horse has a black one. I am guessing this horse was a somewhat generic industry prop that was mass produced at the time? The recent HGTV Brady House Renovation revealed damage that indicated how cheaply they were made. And there were other versions around, you can see here:
The Brady horse statue appeared a decade earlier in the 1958 fantasy/rom-com starring Jimmy Stewart, Kim Novak & Jack Lemmon: Bell, Book, and Candle. The productions of that movie, Brady Bunch, and Bewitched all were related to Columbia Pictures and TV
ReplyDeleteI was just watching a Sinatra/Crosby Christmas special and saw a green version behind Frank (repainted for the holiday?)
