This set decoration, seen here in most episodes of The Brady Bunch, was one of the only original pieces that was found and placed in the HGTV Brady House Renovation in 2019.
HGTV didn't even bother to locate the blue drip glaze vase that sat on the opposite end of the pony wall. Then they only put one bust in the master bedroom when they had a matched pair. The list goes on and on of omitted items.
I heard they had gone so over their budget and running out of time that they were cutting corners. Did you see that pitiful papier mache' looking thing in the family thing that was supposed to be a Bitossi yellow ceramic cat? It looked like something Cindy would have made in elementary art class. Then there's still the missing Brady Bunch Hutch! LOL!
You mean Mr. and Mrs. Brady had both busts and HGTV did not supply two. These came in sets and were often used as bookends. Somebody probably just found one and called it a day.
I think a chair in the family room was also original.

ReplyDeleteThat one missing bust was really odd, it's a matched male/female set! Those are not difficult to find on Ebay
