Song Of Norway

Did you ever stop and think about just how terrible this movie must be?  There is never a mention or reference made to it in a pop cultural, or even a camp way.  No one knows the songs, no Brady Bunch fan seems to have ever really seen it, or acknowledges it. And, if they do, it is not with any affection.  The poster alone is off putting.  Why is she merrily linking arms with two men?  This image alone doesn't even give it a basic romantic love story appeal. Awful.

  1. I tried watching it a couple of years ago. Gave up in five minutes. It was completely terrible. Let's be honest, none of the adult actors on "The Brady Bunch" were in good positions with their career when the show premiered. Bob Reed's film career crashed and burned with "Star." Florence Henderson stopped getting major roles. Ann B Davis was in Seattle performing in nightclubs. Even Sherwood Schwartz was struggling. His last show "It's About Time" was a complete dud and was cancelled after one season. Even a midseason retooling of the show couldn't save it.

    1. Ah! All great points, I never really thought about that. I find it funny that people think Gene Hackman's was really under some kind of consideration for the Mike Brady role. He had an Oscar nomination for 'Bonnie and Clyde" 1n 1968, the year they were casting and filming The Brady pilot.

    2. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Florence was NO dramatic actress. She wanted to be Julie Andrews, but didn't come close. Also, she recorded an album, but that bombed too. I wonder if her book did well?
