Saw the Real Live Brady Bunch in Westwood, California in July, 1992 and it was a riot. I still have the program! I think Jane Lynch was Carol, but I know Andy Richter (?!) was Mike (in a permed wig). I don't think Melanie Hutsell was Jan because she was likely on SNL at the time. TRLBB was supposed to run for a few weeks but it was so popular it kept getting held over and ended up running for a few MONTHS instead - I think they finally had to close in October because the theatre was booked for another production. I saw "The Driver's Seat" (the actual driving test was staged hilariously) and "Getting Davy Jones," and yes, they GOT Davy Jones. He reprised his role and after the show he told the audience he was wearing the same vest he wore in the original episode!
I saw Brady Bunch Live in Washington DC in the early 1990s and it was awesome. They did "The Subject Was Noses" when I went.
During the curtain call, Greg and Marcia started making out with each other...then Greg and Carol started making out with each other...then Greg and Mike started making out with each other.

ReplyDeleteI saw the show in Westwood in June of 1992. I don't remember which episode they did, but I do remember laughing and being a little horrified.
